In addition to making music together, our music program at the kindergarten also includes special offers such as music lessonsin small groups and individual piano lessons, which are tailored to the needs and interests of the children.
In the small groups, the children have the opportunity to experience the world of music. Together we sing, dance and play with various instruments. The children playfully discover the basics of music – they learn to play simple melodies, clap to the beat or accompany songs with instruments. We specifically introduce the children to playing the ukulele, especially at kindergarten age. This child-friendly instrument allows the children to pick up chords and accompany songs in a simple way, which quickly gives them a sense of achievement and motivates them to continue making music. We also promote musical understanding: they practise recognizing and playing rhythms, moving to the music and using their bodies as instruments. In addition to making music freely, they learn about and apply the meaning of note values such as quarter and eighth notes through clapping patterns and body percussion. Special events throughout the year include our music shows, which we put on in the summer and at Christmas.
The children have the opportunity to show off what they have learned over the year to their friends and families.
We offer individual lessons for children who are enthusiastic about playing the piano. Here, children can take their first steps on the piano at their own pace and play simple songs. Our aim is for them not only to play the music, but also to feel it. With a lot of patience and empathy, we help the children to play melodies by ear and develop a feeling for music. Each child is encouraged to show their progress and at the end of the semester they are allowed to perform a small piece – a moment full of pride and joy. <
